Kennybear's lair
Valentines' Day is supposed to be a happy day... full of fun and all those things that make you happy. It's supposed to be a time for extra special moments with that one you love more than anyone else. A time to celebrate that love.

How do you celebrate that special love when that special person is far away? When they're far away, not by choice but because of politics, because of irrational fears, because of man's inhumanity to man? How far? 6,907 miles ! Yes, almost seven THOUSAND miles (as the crow flies).

We've known each other since 1999. We fell in love a year or so later on and we've held on to that love. In 2004 he had to go back to Hong Kong. It is so unfair, so sad to be without him for all this time. Everyone around me is having a great time today but I've lost the mood. I miss him so bad I really just want to sit here and cry. Sorry I came to work today. We talk almost every day, usually on line, sometimes on the phone and I plan on visiting him in Hong Kong but it's been 16 months now. I keep hoping for "marriage equality" and a chance for him to immigrate here, but even then it will be difficult because of his family. Arghhhhhh! Now I'm babbling on... Later.
